You liked Banished but it was dour and the modding was weird. You think City Skylines looks great but you hate industrial stuff and don't want to be doing the post-60s architecture.Yeah, this is the game you want. It's gorgeous, still a teeny bit buggy and missing images here and there but it's so good! It's just what you want!. I don't often write reviews but I'm afraid now that I must. This game is a clone of Banished. I use the word clone loosely, as banished has five times as much content, variety, and UI improvements. This game doesn't even come close. I unfortunately played this game longer than the refund limit allows before i realized there was no further content. I didn't even get a reply about my refund. Just a reference to refund gametime limits; which I hadn't known about since I don't believe I've ever found it necessary to get a refund. Until now. Until this game. This terrible, boring, middleschooler computer project of a game. I will complain allllllllll day about this game. It sucks, go buy Banished or Age of Empires instead. The first five minutes of either of those games is more fun than the few hours I played Foundation.P.S. The build your own castle crap is a cheap gimick that doesn't even give you much customization. Not worth. Great Bait, Zero Out of Eight.. This is not a finished game, at all. Yes, you can click things, but there is a big difference between painting a village into place, and playing a game to balance an economy and develop a medieval village. I love city builders or all shapes and sizes, but I got no satisfaction from the 3 different times I tried to start a village.. I got the game when it first released for early access. In the beginning I was enthusiastic about the game. There was a lot of placeholders and incomplete aspects of the game at the time. For example:- No use for leather- no names for the people (woman 864) - buildings being built from the top down instead of the butttom up. ( church cross on top built before anything else )( keep roof before the base )Since then there have been a number of stability patches and Dev blogs explaining what they plan to do, but have still not been done.Man 765 still doesn't know what to do with the leather. And sadly within the Dev Blogs there is no mention about fixing these fundamental laps in content. Instead the focus is on Mods and other content. I find it strange that the course of development after 3 months has not managed to complete the leather production chain, or provide names for the people...The game may one day live up to what was intended.. But I fear this will happen at an incredibly slow pace. There's a lot of talk.. but no action...You know there is a problem when after 3 months:- the player base went from 4,000 to 300- there has been no completion of current content or introduction of new content.- you have 6 Dev blogs telling you what will be.. without any updates in between.- Forum discussions get locked at an increasing rate I have seen Early Access developers put out updates weekly... I realize not all of them do this.. But after 3 months the only movement on this game has been the exodus of its player base...Come back in a year and perhaps Man 765 will finally know what to do with the leather.... I was enjoying the game up until the point at which I realized that bridges are not working properly. I was able to build two bridges after about ten attempts. I needed to build a third bridge but it just wouldn't work. I gave up after about fifteen attempts. I tried various locations and as many different bridge configurations (different lengths, angles relative to shore, etc.) as I could think of, but I was not able to figure out why I succeeded in building the first two bridges but not the third. I also tried reloading the game.. Beautiful village building game which offers a lot to do, with very little micro management required. The art and sounds work together to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere. My let's play video for foundation: https:\/\/youtu.be\/BF7YSJ-xlK8. I'm Loving It!
